With a surface area of 48,442 km2, Dominican Republics the second-largest
Caribbean country, after Cuba and the fastest growing economy in
Latin America: 7,8% in 2000, with strong foreign investment from

"windsurfing paradise" where all water sports including

Pueblo Principe Casino and resort to the west and Playa Grande Golf
course considered one of the best in the Caribbean, just 45 minutes
from Puerto Plata International Airport, are some of the attractions

The Samana peninsula at 2 ½ hours drive with the beautiful
beaches of Las Terrenas, Rincon and las Galeras is world famous
for whale watching and natural sceneries and is becoming one of
